Purpose:
When we think of America, more often than not, we think of the success, the fame, the wealth, the beauty of its cities and landscapes, and the American Dream. My photography documents the flip side of that coin: the America that most people ignore, don’t want to see and look at, which is often incarnated by the so-called “silent majority”. I focus on societal issues such as economic inequality, racism, gender inequality and political polarization.
Tools:
I shoot with a Leica M Camera ™ and a 35 mm lens. I use Adobe Bridge ™ to organize my photos and Adobe Photoshop ™ for black and white conversions, resizing and color profile conversions.
Bragging Rights:
Published in the New York Times, Exhibited at San Francisco MOMA, Permanent Collection at the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology, Winner of the San Francisco International Photography Competition.
